Distributor
The Distributor component pushes the information selected by subscription to the various user systems that
cannot accept Information Object XML. These include repositories such as databases, file sets, and applications. The Distributor employs an appropriate Adapter module to accomplish connection to the data source and the necessary control and data interpretation and insertion from an XML data package.
The
Distributor produces appropriate data packages that interface with existing applications from the content in the "natural transaction" produced by the Semantic Engine.
A "natural transaction" contains all the information needed to fulfill its business purpose in an XML structure that allows its semantic meaning to be deduced unambiguously.
The Distributor may be designed to push
information into existing applications systems without requiring any modification, or may interface with enhanced functionality that is put in place to take advantage of the ISS feed.
